New York, in brief.

I apologise for the lack of posts recently, if you read my blog you probably would of seen that I was going to New York and thats exactly where I was and it is also the reason for my lack of posts. Just wanted to clear that up for you guys :)

New York, where do I start? It was simply AMAZING. From shopping in 'Macy's', dining in 'Hard Rock Cafe' and visiting the '9/11 memorial' it was all such a great experience that I will NEVER forget!

This post is mainly just going to be several of my favourite photos from my trip but there will be several posts to follow soon showing you guys some of my favourite new purchases and I also would like to do a post entirely on the '9/11 memorial' as that is something I will never forget and for anyone visiting New York, in my opinion, it is a place you just have to visit, its just beautiful!

So enough of the talking for now and here are the photos..

So there is just a few of the pictures from my trip to 'The Big Apple' . Thats kind of just a brief summary of my trip in pictures but I have a few hundred pictures in total so no doubht I will be sharing more over the next few weeks. There will also be a few related blog posts very soon, including my thoughts on my new MAC foundation bought in the lovely MAC store in Times Square and I am also thinking of doing a few 'Outfit of the day' posts which will surely include some of my new purchases from NY.

Would you guys like to see some OOTD posts? Or I would love to hear any other suggestions for posts!

MAC Foundation *Help*

So I've been wanting to invest in a MAC foundation for quite awhile now but as the price tag is not very bank account friendly, I want to make sure im going to get the use out of it! I hear many people give out about the texture or staying power of several of the MAC foundations. But none the less, Im still willing to give it a go.

Two of MAC's foundations that I hear a lot of people use are the 'Pro Longwear' foundation and the 'Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15'. To be completally honest as I am a complete newbie to the MAC foundation range I have no idea at all of the differences between these two products, or if they are worth the money.

Im looking for a foundation with medium - full coverage. I have combination skin so oil based foundations don't usually work well for me. Im mainly going to use it as a photo/occasion/nights out foundation, situations where I know there will be lots of photos so I will be wanting a flawless finish.

If anyone has any recommendations on which MAC foundation they think would be best for me whether it is one I have mentioned or another from their range it would be greatly appreciated! :) I'd also love to hear what MAC foundation you use and your opinion on MAC foundations.

Lola Ankle Boots

Lola mid-heel tan ankle boots. Got these boots for my birthday and I LOVE them. I wore them for several hours while shopping (lots of walking) and they are so comfy even with the bit of a heel! The heel is about 3.5" and the platform about 0.5". I really wanted a staple pair of boots for my wardrobe and I think these are so versatile, especially as they are so comfy! Great buy at such a great price. These will definately be my 'go to' boots for the winter!

So it was my birthday not so long ago (bit late putting this up). And I got some gorgeous bits and pieces from family and friends, from LUSH to Yankee Candles to the famous fluffy socks. I love ALL of my gifts so much and I cant wait to use and review all my beauty/make up items and create some looks with my new clothes and jewellery! My present from my parents is AMAZING, I didnt expect it at all and I am so excited! You ready? Drum roll please...

I am going to NEW YORK CITY!!! Im so excited! Me and my mam are going this month just before christmas for 4 days of shopping and american food, yummmy! I cant thank my parents enough for such an amazing present! x

Im going to be posting about my new iclothing boots very soon! Then when I get back from new york I will blog my pictures from my trip etc.

As you can see new picture finally up, the original I wanted to put up wouldn't load so I have to stick to this one for now (bad quality, not my favourite) ;_; But will update it soon when my laptop finally lets me!

Nails of the week !

So the last few weeks I've been mad about green and blue nails. My nails are in really bad condition at the moment and keep chipping and breaking so Im not going to paint them for a week or two so I can get them back to better condition. These are just two of my recent favourites! :) Enjoy !

My first favourite is Rimmels 60 second nail polish in the shade "819 Green with Envy". I never use Rimmel nail polishes but this is a recent purchase and I definately will be investing in some more of Rimmels oh so affordable nail polishes. I applied two coats and then a top coat of this but even after just one coat the colour was perfect. The colour lasted a good 2 days before it started to chip which is good for me as my nail polish always chips really easily! The colour is gorgeous, it looks more blue at first glance but when you look properly its more of an emerald green/teal depending on the lighting. I paid 4.95euro for this, well worth it !

Nubar nail polish in the shade "Mali-Blue" - just under 9euro.

Essence Nail Art Special Effect Topper in the shade "10 Glorious Aquarius" - 2.95euro

For this look I use the two above nail polishes! First I used a base coat, then the Nubar nail polish then the Essence topper and then a clear topcoat. It took about 3 or 4 days for this to chip, I found it lasted really well. I LOVED this look and thought it looked really nice on. I dont like tacky looking nails and at first I wast so sure about the glitter top coat but because the pieces of glitter were slightly bigger then usual glitter I actually liked the glitter. It took 3 coats of the Nubar nail polish before it came out the bright blue that it did but that would be the only little fault, apart from that I loved the Nubar nail polish and they also have a great range of other lovely colours I would like to try out. (You can buy Nubar nail polish on www.beautybay.com)
