Marc B // Handbag

I've wanted a new handbag since before Christmas but could not find one that was what I really wanted. I'm a big handbag kind of girl! My current handbags are all pretty dark colours, mostly black, so I wanted a bright colour ready for the summer! While browsing the internet a few weeks ago I decided to check out www.marcb.com. I had looked on marc b before but never made a purchase. I'm so glad I looked because I found a bag that I well and truly fell in love with and even better, it was in the sale! I paid just 35.94 euro for the 'Hudson' in Fuchsia Pink and they also had it in Metallic Blue for the same price. I'm not sure if the sale is still on or if the same bags are still in the sale but they have so many gorgeous bags on the site that it is definitely worth a look. Prices for the marc b bags didn't seem to go over the 80 euro mark when I looked and there are so many different styles and colours to chose from you'll be spoilt for choice. I'm sure my 'Hudson' will feature in plenty of my upcoming OOTD posts, especially in the summer months!

What do you think?
Is a marc b bag on your wish list?

*Apologies*

Hey girls and guys! So I'm sure some of ye have noticed that I haven't posted anything for nearly 3 months now but I have plenty of reasons for my absence, some bigger than others. I know I haven't had my blog up for long but I just needed to sort some things out and try figure out where I want to go from here. From figuring out what my future college plans are to getting the virus on my laptop fixed, all of which are now sorted thankfully. Another reason is that I am in my Leaving Cert year in school and I really haven't been working as hard as I should be so I had a lot of cramming to do (not ideal really) as I am currently working towards my Spanish and Irish oral exams! For the next couple of months my posts may not be as regular as I would like them to be but I am going to try my very best to update as often as possible. As soon as all these exams are over I will be free from all the unavoidable study/cramming for a good while (hopefully) and my blog will have my undivided attention.

I'm so excited to see all the summer clothes starting to appear in most shops and online and seeing as though I have a holiday coming up in July I think I will have to do a few summer wish lists. This is the first time in a few years that I get to shop for a sun holiday and not for the notorious Irish weather. This Wednesday I am planning a shopping trip to Dublin with my mum so I'm looking forward to that and hoping to pick up a few bits and pieces for the summer.

I'm also excited because I will have two grads to go to this year, both mine and my boyfriends. I already have a dress to wear to one grad and I have my eye on a dress for the other. I've decided to do my own make up for the night so I think a trip to MAC is on the cards. I'm hoping to have a natural tan on the night as I will only just be back from my holiday but I want to have a good bronzer on standby to build up a golden glow. I never usually use bronzer so I would love your suggestions for a good bronzer that has good staying power to last the night.

I'm glad to be back as I really have missed having my blog to turn to when I have something I want to write about and share with you. As always I would love suggestions from you guys for future posts. Apologies for my absence but all is good now and I look forward to talking to you guys again!

Chicken Soup for the Womans Soul | Book Review

Apologies in advance for the tiny picture. I was going to take my own but as the weather is pretty rubbish outside the lighting ended up being crap, I would of done the book cover no justice at all, so this one will have to suffice for now unfortunately.

I was recently bought this book as a gift. I first heard about it when my English teacher mentioned it in passing during class one day claiming it was a "very good read". As I have such a passionate love of books and my library of various genres is so extensive, I was eager to find out for myself.

'Chicken Soup for the Woman's Soul'  is a real eye opener. Each of the 101 stories inside aim to "open your heart and rekindle your spirit", so far I have not been disappointed. I have not yet finished this book as its more of a 'go to' book for when I'm feeling down and just need that little pick me up! The stories are split up in to sections ranging from 'Love' to 'Overcoming obstacles'. Each story is written by a different author and each are quite short in length. Although they are so short each story is none the less effective and some quite powerful to say the least.

I would recommend this book to any woman, whether you are a book lover or not, these stories are so short that you could just take 5 minutes everyday and dedicate those 5 minutes to a few pages of reading. There are also several other books in the Chicken soup range from teenagers to mothers, there's one to suit everyone. Such a great pick me up read for those oh so dismal days!

To sum this book up in five words - 'Inspiring and truly heart warming.'

Has anyone else read this book or one similar?

2013 / A new year!

I hope ye all had a lovely Christmas and have a great New Year (and didn't party too hard)! My internet has been playing up which is why I couldn't wish ye all a Happy Christmas and New Year sooner! I took plenty of pictures so Im planning on posting a 'My Christmas/New Years in photos' blog post, pretty self explanatory really! I love being able to spend time with family at Christmas and I think that family and friends really make Christmas special, im sure many of ye will agree! I loved spending Christmas Day with my family and I know in years to come I will be coming home for mummys Christmas dinner each year!

To be completely honest I am so glad to see the end of 2012, not that it was a bad year but Im just excited for a fresh start (abit cliche I suppose, but true none the less)! 2013 will be a stressful year with the leaving cert and starting college etc. but it's also a sort of milestone in my life because I know so much is going to change this year and hopefully have a positive effect! I brought in 2013 with my boyfriend and his family, not so glamorous-ly might I add! After falling asleep at about 8.30 I was awoken at 11.30 and brought in the New Year with a 'bed head' and smudged mascara! Oh well!

My new years resolutions? Im going to take a differant approach this year. My one and only new years resolution is to Save, Save, Save! With college, holidays and everything in between I know I need to be more mature with my money, prioritise and learn how to save! (Coming from a shopaholic.. Easier said then done!) However I am going to set a goal for myself at the start of each month, try my hardest to achieve that goal and then hopefully it will just turn into a habit. Worth a try eh? Taking it one step at a time. Januarys Goal.. Revamp my skincare routine!

What are your skin care favourites? Organic products anyone?

My recent obsession seems to be baby penguins and I really don't know why! Seen this pic and just had to share it. Aren't these guys so cute?

New York, in brief.

I apologise for the lack of posts recently, if you read my blog you probably would of seen that I was going to New York and thats exactly where I was and it is also the reason for my lack of posts. Just wanted to clear that up for you guys :)

New York, where do I start? It was simply AMAZING. From shopping in 'Macy's', dining in 'Hard Rock Cafe' and visiting the '9/11 memorial' it was all such a great experience that I will NEVER forget!

This post is mainly just going to be several of my favourite photos from my trip but there will be several posts to follow soon showing you guys some of my favourite new purchases and I also would like to do a post entirely on the '9/11 memorial' as that is something I will never forget and for anyone visiting New York, in my opinion, it is a place you just have to visit, its just beautiful!

So enough of the talking for now and here are the photos..
